Chocolate Chocolate Bundt Cake

4½ oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
¼ cup unsalted butter
¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 lg eggs
2 egg whites
2⅔ cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
½ tsp sea salt
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup water
1 cup nonfat sour cream
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 375F. Lightly coat a bundt cake pan with canola oil spray.
- Combine chocolate, butter and applesauce in a small saucepan. Melt over medium heat, stirring to combine ingredients.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Add melted chocolate mixture and stir to incorporate. Do not overmix.
- Pour cake batter into prepared bundt pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Garnish by dusting with powdered sugar.
