9:15 a.m. Level 2+ Hike: Round Mountain
Enjoy this flat start, then short, strong ascent on woodland trails past gentle waterfalls to Hale Pond followed by a mild, rocky descent.
1:15 p.m. Level 1 Hike: Pleasant Valley Beaver Ponds
A leisurely three-hour hike on flat, mildly rolling wooded trails past several beaver ponds.
Friday, May 9
8 a.m. Level 4 Hike: Money Brook
Steady five-and-a-half-hour uphill hike, including a few stream crossings and rocky terrain. Savor lunch beside the falls after the 1,800-foot vertical rise. Reverse your footsteps down the valley while traversing beautiful brooks.
9:15 a.m. Level 3 Hike: Pleasant Valley Overbrook
Steady, three-hour moderate, 820-foot ascent to the summit of Lenox Mountain and down again.
1:15 p.m. Level 2 Hike: Katie’s Big Ash Trail
Enjoy a scenic two-hour hike, passing by old oak trees and walking alongside a flowing stream. Rolling terrain with a steep incline.
Saturday, May 10
8 a.m. Level 5 Hike: Bash Bish
Moderate ascent, then a rolling ridge, followed by a very steep descent with high drops to a waterfall over the course of seven hours. Enjoy lunch after spending the afternoon ascending 1,230 feet.
9:15 a.m. Level 3 Hike: Lulu Cascade
Moderate three-and-a-half-hour ascent over 1,165 feet with rocky terrain. Beautiful cascading water complements this intermediate hike.
1:15 p.m. Level 2 Hike: Steven’s Glen
Steep descent to a waterfall, then moderate ascent back out of the glen.
Sunday, May 11
8 a.m. Level 5 Hike March Cataract
Very steep climb to start, then continue to rise 1,800 feet moderately to the falls, lunch, and then reverse – all over six hours.
9:15 a.m. Level 3 Hike: Gorge Trail
Short but steep three-hour uphill along a river to a mountain lake and back – with a 600-foot vertical rise.
1:15 p.m. Mother’s Day Wildflower Hike
You’re invited to enjoy wildflowers and good company this Mother’s Day with a two-and-a-half hour guided tour of beautiful, blooming wildflowers – the signs of a warmer, sunnier hiking season.
Monday, May 12
8 a.m. Level 4 Hike: Beckett Quarry To Glendale Falls
Enjoy moderate climbs and rocky woodland terrain at this historic granite quarry. Then, jump in the van, and take a short trip to explore and hike at Massachusetts’ largest waterfall – including a 1,000-foot vertical rise over six hours.
9:15 a.m. Level 3 Hike: Monument Mountain
Steady ascent over 827 feet with a rock scramble at the top as stunning views open up. A steep descent concludes this three-hour trip.
1:15 p.m. Level 2 Hike: Steven’s Glen
Steep descent to a waterfall, then moderate ascent back out of the glen over the course of two hours.
