As Director of Health & Performance Coaching, Laura's role includes leading a team of Health and Performance Coaches at Canyon Ranch in Tucson and Lenox and providing group and individual coaching to resort guests before, during, and after their stay at Canyon Ranch.

Prior to joining our Health & Performance team at Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires, Laura was an Associate Professor at the College and University level for 15 years where she taught Nutrition and Public Health courses and engaged in Health Equity and Sports Performance Research.

She brings her love of teaching and research to the coaching space, working with guests to create evidence-based, individualized wellness plans that lead them toward an optimal state of well-being. Her mission is to empower guests to reach their full potential in six domains of wellness including social, spiritual, physical, emotional, professional and intellectual.

Laura has also worked as a health coach for a decade, empowering clients to meet their health and wellness goals, as well as improve their relationship with food and increase performance in sports. Her areas of expertise are in public health education, nutrition education, eating disorder recovery coaching, and athletic performance coaching.

In Laura's free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and cat in the house they built together in Charlemont, MA, rowing on the Connecticut river with her doubles partner, or reading a good mystery novel.
