Dish of ranch dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz garlic
  • 2 Tbsp tamari
  • 1/2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp white distilled Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp evaporated cane sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1.5 oz scallions
  • 1.75 lb sour cream
  • 6 oz mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add in your garlic. Reduce to a simmer and cook for ~5 minutes. Drain and cool.
  2. In a blender, blend the garlic, tamari, Worcestershire, vinegar, evaporated cane sugar, black pepper, and salt until smooth.
  3. Thinly slice the green parts of the scallion and add them to the blender. PULSE ONLY, 2 OR 3 TIMES! You want to keep them chunky and not fully puree.
  4. Place the sour cream and mayonnaise in a mixing bowl, then pour the contents from the blender. Whisk by hand until Incorporated.
  • Blanching the garlic helps mellow the sharp, spicy bite of the garlic. It is, however, completely optional, especially if you like that garlic kick!
  • We recommend using homemade mayonnaise, but store-bought will work in a pinch.
