Ann Ching Ann Ching is a Bronze Star recipient for her combat service in Iraq and received the Humanitarian Assistance Award for disaster relief in Japan. Active in the Arizona legal community, she frequently speaks on legal ethics and professionalism.She serves on the Arizona Supreme Court Ethics Advisory Committee, the State Bar of Arizona Ethics Advisory Group, and as a faculty member for the State Bar's mandatory professionalism course. Ann is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), and has served on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Asian American Bar Association, including as President (2023-2024).
She began her legal career as a U.S. Army lawyer, eventually achieving the rank of Major. Following her Army career, she was an Assistant Professor of Law at Pepperdine University and Ethics Counsel for the State Bar of Arizona. In October 2020, she was appointed as a judge pro tempore for the East Valley Regional Veterans Court, covering seven jurisdictions in the greater Phoenix area. Ann's extensive experience in military law, academia, and ethical leadership equips her to guide others toward achieving balance and success in their legal careers.
Professor Ching is a proud native of Tempe, Arizona. She and her husband have three rescue dogs and a rotating stable of fosters. When she’s not working, Professor Ching enjoys training and teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, playing piano, and crocheting stuffed animals.
Brendan Murray D.C., D.A.C.B.S.P., Director of Sports Medicine, works to get guests back to the physical activities they enjoy, in spite of injury or aging. He is an expert in diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. He also educates others on how to move better and use research to inform daily practice.
Melissa Stansbury PhD, MS, ACSM-EP, Health & Performance Coach, is a collaborative, dedicated coach who guides individuals on their wellness journey, from vision to action to mastery. Her integrative approach empowers guests to set intentions, align their vision with realistic goals and strategies, generate consistent progress, and tap into strengths to turn obstacles into opportunities for growth.
Sherri Felton MS, LPC, Mental Health & Wellness Expert, is dedicated to helping guests at our Arizona wellness resort gain invaluable insights into the patterns that no longer serve them, guiding them to create new, more effective habits for a fulfilling life. Her areas of specialization include performance, trauma, and anxiety.
Shannon Jacobs MS, RDN, LDN, Health & Performance Dietician, brings a positive and inspiring attitude that helps guests benefit from her personalized and tailored approach to nutrition, vitality, and performance. She guides resort guests to frame a new mindset to accomplish their goals. Her areas of expertise include fueling for exercise, supplements, and achieving weight-loss goals without losing muscle mass.
