Cranberry and Sage Mocktail
1/2 cup sage & lemon simple syrup
1 cup cranberry juice cocktail
1.5 cups sparkling water
8 each fresh sage leaves
1 oz lemon wedge
Pour simple syrup, cranberry juice cocktail, and sparkling water into a pitcher and stir to mix.
Fill four serving glasses with ice, then place two sage leaves in each glass. Pour the pitcher's contents into glasses, then garnish each glass with a lemon wedge.
For sage & lemon simple syrup:
- Place 5 Tbsp of water in a pot with 5 Tbsp of evaporated cane sugar, add 1 fresh sage leaf, 1/2 tsp of lemon juice, and 1/2 tsp of lemon zest.
- Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook until evaporated cane sugar has dissolved.
- Pour into a shallow container and cool in the fridge. Strain when cooled.
