Basil Pine Nut Pesto

Ingredients

4 oz pine nuts
2.5 oz basil
1 oz garlic
3 oz parmesan cheese
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
2.5 oz shallots

Instructions

  1. Toast pine nuts in a 300⁰ F oven until golden brown for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Place everything except for water in a food processor.
  3. With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in water until a smooth paste forms.
