Dr. Wendy Troxel is an internationally recognized sleep expert, Senior Behavioral Scientist at the RAND Corporation, and a licensed clinical psychologist board-certified in behavioral sleep medicine. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Utah and the University of Pittsburgh.

Supported by the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense, and private industry, Dr. Troxel’s research explores how sleep shapes our health, relationships, performance, and longevity. She has advised national policy and clinical practice as a member of the NIH Sleep Disorders Research Advisory Board and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Task Force on the Treatment of Insomnia and is among the most highly cited sleep scientists in the world.

Dr. Troxel is the author of Sharing the Covers: Every Couple’s Guide to Better Sleep, praised by The New York Times as essential reading. Her TEDx talk on teen sleep and school start times has been viewed more than 2.7 million times globally, and her insights have been featured by leading media outlets including CNN, BBC, NPR, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
