Classic Pumpkin Spice Latte
Time: 15 Minutes ・ Difficulty: Easy ・ Serves: 4 People
Our take on the classic pumpkin spice latte combines espresso with real pumpkin, maple, vanilla, and cozy fall spices. Creamy, comforting, and lightly sweet, it's everything you love about autumn in a cup. INGREDIENTS 1/2 cup pumpkin purée 1/4 cup maple syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves 1 pinch salt 2 cups 2% milk 8 shots of hot espresso INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the pumpkin purée, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt in a small saucepan.
Cook over medium-low heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly, until smooth and fragrant.
Slowly whisk in the 2% milk.
Heat until steaming, but do not boil.
Pour 2 shots of hot espresso into each mug.
Divide the hot pumpkin-milk mixture evenly among the mugs.
Stir gently to combine.
Dust each latte with cinnamon and/or nutmeg.
Serve immediately.
NOTES
The pumpkin spice mixture can be prepared up to three days in advance and refrigerated. Rewarm gently before combining with espresso.
For a stronger coffee flavor, use 3 shots of espresso per serving and slightly reduce the milk.
