Shayne assists the culinary teams at Canyon Ranch Resorts. He works directly with Chef Pete Ghione, Director of Culinary Innovation and Training, and Stephanie Miezin, Director of Nutrition, in recipe development and testing to ensure each meal is delicious and nutritionally balanced, and converts our most beloved meals into take-home recipes.

Shayne has been with our Food & Nutrition team at Canyon Ranch Tucson since 2005, upon graduating from Culinary School. A firm believer that hard work yields amazing results, Shayne worked his way up the ranks, starting as an intern. He has held multiple positions over the years, from Lead Garde Manager to Chef de Partie, and Sous Chef to his most recent position as Executive Chef and now as the Culinary Administrator for Canyon Ranch.
He says his biggest motivation in creating nutritious meals at Canyon Ranch is seeing “how happy, healthy, and energetic our long-term guests and owners are.”
When not at work at our Tucson resort, Shayne loves to spend time with his family. He is also an avid fantasy football player and comic book lover. Fun fact about Shayne? He is also a musician. He played trumpet in the band from 5th grade through high school, participated in the marching band all four years, and was even a Drum Major.
