6 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Valley of the Hoodoos Hike
Take a hike through the land of Hoodoos (rock formations where the name is derived from Hoodoo spirituality, in which natural forms are said to possess certain powers). This 12-mile hike travels a section of the Arizona Trail through the Wilderness of Rocks. Starting at an elevation on 7,500 feet, you'll see a babbling brook with tall, towering pines and evergreens, and groves of Aspens. This trail undulates with climbs in both directions, however nothing extreme. Enjoy lunch on an amazing rock with cathedral views.
Thursday, November 7
6 a.m.-2 p.m. Up Sycamore Hike
Starting at a desert elevation of 2,647 feet, we'll hike along the creek of Bear Canyon, sandwiched between magnificent canyon walls. This one-way hike passes by the popular Seven Falls and ascends through three biomes: desert scrub, desert grassland, and oak-grassland/chaparral at 5,030 feet. With numerous breathtaking views, this hike is worth the climb.
Friday, November 8
8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Hutch’s Pool Hike
Enjoy a beautiful tram ride up Sabino Canyon to the start of the trail. From there, you'll hike along a moderate desert trail deeper into the Catalina Mountains until you reach a natural water feature called Hutch’s Pool. Here, you'll enjoy a refreshing lunch and an opportunity to take a dip – if you dare. We'll then return back the way we came and hitch the tram back to the parking lot.
Saturday, November 9
6 a.m.-2 p.m. King Canyon Loop
Climb to the top of Wasson Peak at 4,687 feet. Here, you'll find 360-degree views of the surrounding Saguaro National Park and beyond. Wasson Peak is the highest point in the Tucson Mountains, a stunning, ancient volcanic range. Upon return, you'll have the chance to explore an archeological site with historical petroglyphs.
Sunday, November 10
6 a.m.-1 p.m. Mariposa Ridge Hike
Nestled between the Catalinas and Aqua Caliente Peak are two incredible canyons featuring towering red cliffs and incredible desert flora. This hike features undulating terrain with periods of short climbs accompanied by recovery sections. You'll have the opportunity to visit both canyons as part of this hike features a loop section. Discover the beauty of these canyons and see why one was named Milagrosa (Spanish for marvelous) Canyon.
