Dan began his wellness career in 1979 as a certified personal trainer. He then studied and worked as a massage therapist both in private practice and at the former Desert Inn Spa in Las Vegas. He earned a bachelor’s degree in contemplative psychology from the Naropa Institute, and is completing his master’s degree focused on consciousness studies and forgiveness methodologies. Dan is also a 200-hour, Yoga Alliance-registered yoga teacher. He has completed NAMA-approved coursework in ayurveda and studies the Andean mystic traditions. Dan has taught internationally, developed and presented the body-mind awareness series in 2014-2015 for Mayo Health Systems in La Crosse, WI, and has lectured at Columbia Teachers College. He participated in the 2018 Hackathon event at Northeastern University to address stigma and opioid addiction. His pastimes include foraging, running, traveling, and spending time on or near the water.
