Melie is committed to helping resort guests use technology-based services to enhance their wellness experiences at Canyon Ranch Tucson before and after they leave. She specializes in sports medicine data science, integrating technology and data into useful health and wellness services.

Before finding her way to Canyon Ranch in Arizona, Melie worked as a sports medicine data scientist with the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her task was to understand how to optimize health and wellness for elite athletes.
While resort guests don’t meet directly with Melie, their experience at Canyon Ranch is more insightful, empowered, and motivating because of her. For instance, she updated the “Discover Your Fitness Age” technology that allows guests to learn their fitness levels and access real-time insights and graphs concerning their progress. This information helps return guests track changes over time. Melie is also creating online health and lifestyle questionnaires that incorporate risk assessment tools for guests before arrival.
When not at Canyon Ranch, Melie spends her time volunteering with animal rescue groups, watching NBA and college football games, and hanging with her dogs, Lord Rufus Bartleby and Captain Baxter Snuffleupagus.
