Before finding his way to Canyon Ranch, Jake worked as an Associate Doctor of Chiropractic in Denver, Colorado. He also has extensive experience as a CrossFit coach, performance coach, wrestling coach, and personal strength and conditioning trainer. He is a former resident athlete at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center located in Colorado Springs. For the past two decades, he competed as a wrestler with TeamUSA in the World Championships and medaled at three Pan-American Championships — ultimately training and competing in 30 different countries.

You could say chiropractic medicine is in his genes, as Jake is one of three chiropractors in his immediate family. He also has a varied sports background competing in baseball, basketball, soccer, football, track and field and finally found his calling with Olympic-style wrestling. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be a professional athlete to benefit from Jake’s extensive experience. He works with everyone, where they are, and is known for his accessible nature and ability to motivate others.

When not working with resort clients at the Ranch, Jake enjoys Greco-Roman wrestling, mixed-martial arts, fly-fishing, and trying out new restaurants in Tucson. His advice to remain youthful and in good health? “Try to eat and train like an athlete.”
