As a health and wellness coach, Gillian helps guests with a wide range of wellness concerns, from creating healthy habits to navigating relationships, life transitions, and stress-related challenges. She specializes in overcoming disordered eating and body image issues using Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size® approaches.
Before finding her way to Canyon Ranch, Gillian worked for years as a personal fitness trainer and fitness coach. She then became trained in intuitive eating and for 17 years provided support to clients suffering from binge eating, disordered eating, and body image issues. Additionally, Gillian worked with individuals, and corporate clients on stress management, smoking cessation, building resilience, mindfulness, and the use of cognitive-behavioral techniques.
Guests can take advantage of Gillian’s extensive health and life coaching background to discuss all areas of wellness. She also hosts fireside chats on many topics, including cultivating gratitude, practicing self-compassion, successful behavior change, making peace with food, and stress management. Every Sunday Gillian conducts a workshop for retreat guests to create take-home plans to apply what they learned and to choose positive changes they are ready to continue after leaving the Ranch.
In her downtime, Gillian enjoys reading or listening to audio books while walking. She is currently fascinated with anything to do with ancient Egypt, space, and astronomy.
