At the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS), Alyssa worked as an instructor of sports nutrition and as a dietitian at the UCCS Health and Wellness Center. She has also volunteered with the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center.
Alyssa joined Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Arizona to support the resort's nutrition team. Her experience with sports dietetics and culinary instruction allows her to assist guests in multifaceted ways—whether to reach performance goals, achieve a healthy weight, or learn new skills in the kitchen. She loves to inspire and motivate guests with healthy (and delicious) recipes, as well as to provide dietary advice tailored for individual needs.
In her free time, Alyssa enjoys “anything that gets me out in nature.” This mainly includes hiking or snowboarding with her husband Tyler, or playing with her rescue dog Scooby. She also practices yoga and, of course, loves to cook.
