Soak In The Sun | Experience The Solar Eclipse At Canyon Ranch
Did you know, Monday, August 21, 2017, all of North America will experience a solar eclipse? It’s true, and we at Canyon Ranch are getting ready to view this epic event and invite you and your tribe to join us. And, there has never been a better time to book a stay in Tucson or Lenox. Our breathtaking settings and glorious natural vantage points all lend the perfect backdrop to this awe-inducing solar event.
What Exactly Happens During A Solar Eclipse?
On that day, the Moon will partially cover the Sun for 2 to 3 hours. In some geographical areas, within a narrow path from Oregon to South Carolina, the moon will completely cover the sun causing a brief but total eclipse of the sun. When this occurs, the moon will completely block all of the sun’s rays for almost three minutes. Just imagine – day turning into night! What an awesome natural occurrence!
Why You Should Make Every Effort To Get To Tucson Or Lenox For This Event…
The Tucson Mountains and endless trails and paths, nestled within glorious Sabino Canyon, create perfect sanctuary for your tribes Solar Eclipse viewing. In Lenox, we’ll have a lovely Solar Eclipse Labyrinth walk planned with Spiritual Wellness Director, Sarah Vulgamore. This will take place from 2-3pm on Monday, 8/21 – at the height of the eclipse.
During the walk, Sarah will explain the symbolism of the eclipse as you identify personal significance and create an intention and mantra along the labyrinth path.
You’ll receive a crystal to hold during the eclipse walk, which will gather energy along the labyrinth path. This eclipse-charged keepsake is yours to take home with you, to energize you on your own personal path.
