With global marketing experience plus a lifelong enthusiasm for fitness, Mike Fulkerson is a natural as Canyon Ranch CMO. Believing in our shared healthy vision, he aims to build on the brand’s solid core, expand awareness, and ultimately help people pursue wellness while at the Ranch and beyond. He says, “I’ve marketed toys, video games, hospitality – always fun and positive areas. With Canyon Ranch, I can do something that involves my passion for wellness.”
Mike joined Canyon Ranch after a highly productive decade in Hong Kong. Most recently, he led the Asia Pacific marketing organization for Marriott International, and prior to that held a similar position as the Asia Pacific Head of Marketing for Mattel. In Los Angeles, he had previously held brand and marketing leadership roles at the global headquarters for Mattel and Activision.
Mike’s expertise in branding, digital marketing, and hospitality are powerful assets for communicating the transformative power of Canyon Ranch. He experienced this himself at our Life Enhancement Center® in Tucson, when he was transitioning professionally and making the big move with his family back from Hong Kong. He finished his week-long experience with a bike ride through inspiring scenery. “That’s when a feeling came over me,” he says, “and I knew I was exactly where I should be.”
Mike holds a BS from The University of the South and an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. He lives in Southlake, Texas, with his family.
