Ingredients 

½ cup diced red onion
1 Tbsp minced garlic
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup ketchup
⅓ cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup low-sodium tamari
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp red pepper flakes
½ tsp dry mustard
1 tsp liquid smoke

Instructions 
  1. In a medium sauté pan, sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes. Cool and store in refrigerator.
