Nutrition Information (per serving)
1 lg onion, thinly sliced
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
¾ cup red wine
6 Tbsp red wine vinegar
¼ tsp sea salt
Pinch freshly ground black pepper
¾ cup water
1½ Tbsp cane sugar
- In a large saucepan, cook onions over medium heat in oil until brown. Add red wine and simmer until wine has reduced by half.
- Add vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and water. Cook until liquid has evaporated.
