Ingredients 

½ cup unsalted butter
1 cup low-fat cream cheese
2 cups cane sugar
¼ cup egg yolks
1½ tsp pure vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup whole-wheat pastry flour
¾ tsp baking powder
¾ tsp sea salt

Instructions 
  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk and vanilla and mix until combined.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Mix well. Add to creamed mixture and mix until combined.
  4. Scoop ¾ ounce or 1 heaping tablespoon cookie dough onto a nonstick cookie sheet. Bake for 7 minutes. Flatten lightly with finger and bake an additional 2 minutes.
