12 assorted med apples (Granny Smith, Red Delicious, Gala, Fuji)
2 Tbsp brown sugar
¼ cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp pure vanilla extract
2 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened
¼ tsp sea salt
2 tsp water
- Preheat oven to 375F. Lightly coat twelve 4-ounce ceramic ramekins with canola oil spray.
- Prick the skin of the apples with a fork. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes. Cool and peel apples. Cut out core and thinly slice apples. Evenly divide apples into prepared ramekins.
- In a small bowl, combine sugar, flour, vanilla extract, butter, salt and water. Top each ramekin with 1 teaspoon of topping.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until topping is crisp and brown. Serve warm.
