Life Management Therapist, Canyon Ranch in Tucson
A licensed counselor for many years, Katy holds degrees in child development and family relations from the University of Arizona and has a master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Phoenix. In 2010 she achieved her longtime career goal of working at Canyon Ranch, something she’d aspired to since attending graduate school in the area.
Katy’s areas of professional interest include lifestyle change, grief counseling and various forms of creative therapy such as journaling and sand tray self-exploration. One of her favorite things about working with the guests at Canyon Ranch is being a part of their ‘A-ha’ moments, when they realize something about themselves that they never have before, and empowering them to take action on this new awareness.
Katy strives to find balance for family, work and personal growth. She loves to read mixed genre non-fiction books and is learning how to knit, which she uses as a peaceful meditation practice.
