Nutritionist, Canyon Ranch in Tucson
A graduate of California Polytechnic State University, Emily relocated from Northern California to join Canyon Ranch in 2013. In her role as a registered dietician/nutritionist at both outpatient and inpatient facilities, Emily has practiced an integrated approach to wellness often collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychotherapists and psychiatrists to provide a continuum of care.
Emily has experience working with a variety of nutritional needs, from optimizing performance for athletes to nutritional counseling for eating disorders, and is an advocate of ‘intuitive eating’, a nutritional philosophy that aims to teach individuals to honor their body’s internal satiety signals and distinguish between emotional and physical hunger.
Emily’s passionate about helping people establish healthy relationships with food. She practices an anti-diet approach to eating in her own life and happily counts brownies among her favorite foods. She enjoys playing soccer and cooking in her free time.
