Spiritual Service Provider, Canyon Ranch in Tucson
Sarah received her Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College of Maryland. She holds a Master’s in Art History from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious studies from New York University. Prior to joining Canyon Ranch Sarah was Assistant Director of Wellness at Stevenson University, Maryland, where she chaired a committee to create a campus mediation center, and developed programs addressing sexual violence and substance abuse. She has presented her initiatives at national conferences, colleges, and charitable organizations.
Her clinical specialties include childhood trauma recovery, life transitions, relationships, stress management and the integration of spirituality in personal well-being. With a special focus on mindfulness and healing, Sarah values using labyrinths as a powerful contemplative tool.
For over 15 years, Sarah has personally explored all aspects of spirituality, gaining first-hand knowledge of meaningful practices. As a spirituality provider, she is particularly enthusiastic to bring together her love of art history and world mythology in a co-creative process of spiritual formation. With horses, and through hiking, Sarah treasures a deeply spiritual relationship with nature – and especially with the unique beauty of the Sonoran desert!
