Nicola Finley M.D. Physician at Canyon Ranch

Physician, Canyon Ranch in Tucson

After more than ten years working in Tucson area hospitals as a board certified internal medicine physician, Dr. Nicola Finley joined the integrative wellness team at Canyon Ranch in Tucson in 2013 to further expand her practice of preventative medicine. Dr. Finley is a graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine and Brown University. In addition, she completed the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine program at The University of Arizona. Also, she is an adjunct faculty member at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona in the Health Promotion Sciences Division

As a specialist in internal medicine, Dr. Finley is comfortable managing complex medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and congestive heart failure and has a passion for women’s health topics with an emphasis on female intimate issues, infertility and osteoporosis. She also has an interest in the incorporation of spirituality within the practice of medicine. As she enjoys being outside, she leads a walking medical presentation outdoors on the Canyon Ranch property.

Her support of an integrative approach to wellness extends to her personal life as well, with acupuncture sessions, the use of Chinese herbs and activities such as Zumba, jogging, hiking and Bikram Yoga as part of her regular routine. Dr. Finley is also an avid scuba diver, foodie and travel enthusiast. She shares these pursuits with her husband and she hopes to pass on these interests to their young daughter, who’s already an escargot connoisseur.

During her tenure in Tucson, Dr. Finley has had first-hand experience working with the holistic health practices Canyon Ranch advocates through her work with the El Rio Community Health Center which partners with the Canyon Ranch Institute to offer a Life Enhancement Program designed to empower people in Tucson's economically disadvantaged communities to prevent chronic disease and embrace a life of wellness.
