Canyon Ranch Spa in Tucson, Arizona, has offered a comprehensive wellness program to its employees for more than 25 years. The spa's first step was to write a mission statement for the program. "Our mission is, 'To provide learning opportunities, awareness, motivation and inspiration that will allow all Canyon Ranch staff members to enjoy the highest quality of life,'" says Andrea Lightfoot, wellness coordinator. "It's a little different from a typical mission that seeks to decrease absenteeism or increase productivity - although our program has done those things. We're more interested in looking at each person's needs as a whole."
