Legendary Berkshires Holiday

July 4, 2013 to July 7, 2013

Join us for an Independence Day getaway during the Berkshires summer festival. You’ll be here for some of the most exciting evenings of Tanglewood’s 76th season:

July 4. Enjoy our daytime Canyon Ranch traditions including a friendly barbecue with fellow guests and a short walk to neighboring Shakespeare & Company for a rousing reading of the Declaration of Independence. The evening features a concert at Tanglewood with fireworks as the finale.

July 5. Opening night for the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood with guest conductor Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos and featured violinist Joshua Bell with an all-Tchaikovsky program.

July 7. Keith Lockhart conducts the Boston Pops Orchestra, joined by special guest Vince Gill.

In addition, our outdoor sports guides will lead excursions to Chesterwood, home to Lincoln Memorial sculptor Daniel Chester French; The Mount, historic estate & gardens of novelist Edith Wharton; the Norman Rockwell Museum and other local points of interest.
